The correct configuration is ip helper-address 10.1.100.6. DHCP clients normally transmit broadcast messages that are confined to their local broadcast domain. Cisco ISE’s DHCP profiling probe must receive copies of these DHCP packets to collect endpoint attributes such as the MAC address, requested IP address, host name, vendor class identifier, and DHCP parameter request list. Configuring the ISE Policy Service Node as an additional helper address on the client-facing VLAN causes the switch to forward DHCP broadcasts to that node. The command must be applied under interface VLAN 10 because this is the Layer 3 interface receiving the client broadcasts. Options B and C are not valid Cisco IOS commands for this purpose. Option D uses the wrong destination IP address and therefore would not forward DHCP information to the specified ISE node.
