ABC Telecom wants to enable Experience Cloud for their partners.

An Integration Procedure is appropriate when several external calls form one logical server-side transaction and an intermediate value is needed only while that transaction executes. The first HTTP request can return the temporary identifier into the Integration Procedure data JSON, and the second action can consume that value immediately without persisting it as CRM or asset data. This minimizes configuration and avoids custom Apex for a supported integration pattern. In a Communications Cloud implementation, this pattern provides the cleanest balance of reuse, governance, and runtime efficiency. Persisting a short-lived identifier in the product or asset model creates unnecessary lifecycle data. Moving the logic to custom code or an external ESB is also avoidable when the OmniStudio server-side integration layer already supports sequential callouts and data passing. The alternative designs either introduce unnecessary coupling, fail to preserve the required lifecycle state, or move standard platform behavior into bespoke code. Keeping the solution within the documented product, pricing, migration, or orchestration framework also gives operations teams clearer monitoring and recovery paths. For production readiness, the configuration should be exercised with realistic data volumes and representative MACD scenarios so that the behavior remains correct after the initial sale and throughout subsequent service changes.
