System Integration Testing validates that Salesforce and the external systems participating in the solution operate correctly together before production deployment. This is especially important in Manufacturing Cloud because implementations frequently exchange operational information with ERP, order-management, product, inventory, and other enterprise platforms.
Salesforce's current Agentforce Manufacturing Professional exam guide explicitly identifies conducting System Integration Testing based on technical requirements as a Validate and Deploy competency. The guide separately identifies UAT as a distinct activity based on business requirements.
For Manufacturing Cloud, account data, products, orders, actual quantities, revenue, Sales Agreements, and forecasting inputs may depend on integrations. SIT must therefore confirm data mappings, API behavior, process sequencing, authentication, error handling, and end-to-end processing across system boundaries before those integrations are promoted to production.
Option A incorrectly characterizes SIT as business-user functional testing using unmasked production data. Production-like test data should still follow appropriate security controls. Option C describes User Acceptance Testing, whose purpose is to confirm that the solution satisfies business requirements.
SIT is technically focused on system-to-system behavior and integration integrity.
