The Renewal Days setting determines when the renewal window for a Sales Agreement begins.
Salesforce defines renewal days as the number of days before the Sales Agreement End Date from which users are permitted to renew the agreement. The renewal period ends on the Sales Agreement's existing End Date. For example, if an agreement ends on December 31 and Renewal Days is configured as 30, the renewal period starts on December 1.
This configuration provides organizations with a standardized renewal window across their Sales Agreement lifecycle. It enables account managers to begin renewal activities early enough to renegotiate quantities, products, pricing, or commercial commitments before the existing agreement expires.
Renewal Days does not change the agreement's Start Date or End Date. Those dates define the contractual period itself. Instead, Renewal Days calculates the point at which the renewal process becomes available relative to the End Date.
Salesforce includes renewal-period definition among the foundational Sales Agreement setup activities alongside actuals calculations, metrics, lifecycle stages, approval configuration, and adjustment tracking.
