A talent development professional has decided to design a learning program to enhance soft skills...

Blended learning intentionally combines more than one delivery modality within a coordinated learning experience. In this scenario, participants complete online courses and also participate in face-to-face coaching with supervisors, making the solution a clear combination of digital and in-person learning.

The online component can provide consistent foundational knowledge and flexible access, while coaching allows participants to discuss individual challenges, receive feedback, practice interpersonal behaviors, and connect learning with workplace situations. This combination is particularly useful for leadership and soft-skill development because formal content alone is often insufficient for behavioral change.

Social learning emphasizes learning through interaction and observation of others but does not necessarily require the deliberate combination of online and face-to-face modalities. A community of practice is an ongoing group organized around shared expertise or professional concerns. A flipped classroom specifically moves foundational content outside the formal class so that scheduled instructional time can focus on application.

Blended learning therefore best describes the overall solution architecture.
