Option A, rules of order, sounds parliamentary and overly formal; brainstorming is not a governance meeting. Option C, terms of acceptance, suggests approval criteria, which belongs later during evaluation, not during idea generation. Option D, laws of conformance, contradicts brainstorming because creativity requires divergence and exploration, not rigid compliance. The facilitator’s job is to create the right working conditions for idea generation. Rules of engagement provide that operating frame and help the session remain productive, inclusive, and focused.
