What must be done for RIP routes to propagate into OSPF?

To have routes from one protocol (RIP) appear in another (OSPF), you must configure route redistribution on the router that acts as the Autonomous System Boundary Router (ASBR). In typical enterprise lab scenarios (such as those described in Lab 5), the primary boundary router (FortiGate_A or HQ-NGFW) is where redistribution is enabled to inject external routes into the OSPF backbone. By enabling redistribution for RIP under the OSPF process on this device, the RIP-learned routes are converted into OSPF External LSAs and propagated throughout the OSPF domain.
