What feature should the storage system have to set up a disaster recovery (DR) center?

To build a disaster recovery center, the key storage feature required is remote replication. Remote replication copies production data from the primary storage system to a secondary storage system at another site. This ensures that when the production site fails because of a disaster, the remote site can provide recoverable data and support service restoration. Huawei storage systems use replication technologies such as synchronous and asynchronous remote replication depending on the required RPO, distance, latency, and service continuity target. Snapshots and clones are useful for local point-in-time protection or testing, but they do not by themselves create an off-site disaster recovery copy. Data migration is mainly used to move data between systems during upgrades or transitions. Therefore, remote replication is the correct feature for setting up a DR center.
