Inter-WAC roaming involves moving a user's session information between two different physical or logical controllers. This process is inherently slower and more prone to packet loss or authentication delays than Intra-WAC roaming (where the user moves between APs managed by the same WAC). In the Xinghe Intelligent Campus design, Huawei recommends using Native WACs on core switches or stacking WACs to create a single large mobility domain, thereby minimizing the need for inter-WAC handovers.
