TDM PWE3 is also called the CES service carried by PWE3.

In SAToP mode, the frame structure of TDM signals does not need to be identified, and the TDM signals are processed as serial data bit streams, divided into TDM bit streams by integer multiple of the E1 frame length, and then encapsulated into PWE3 packets for transmission.

In SAToP mode, overheads and payloads in TDM signals are transparently transmitted, and alarms can be transparently transmitted.

The control word of SAToP packets is optional.

The number of E1 frames that are encapsulated in a CESoPSN packet is determined by the value of “Packet Loading Time”. The period of a TDM frame is 125 us. As a result, if the value of “Packet Loading Time” is 1 ms, each PW packet will load eight TDM frames.
