Which situation would best demonstrate that the organization maintains a strong ethical culture?

An externally administered hotline that enables employees to report noncompliance concerns is strong evidence that the organization has established a formal mechanism supporting ethical conduct, escalation, confidentiality, and accountability. A credible reporting channel allows employees to raise concerns without relying solely on their immediate management structure and can strengthen confidence in the organization’s commitment to investigating misconduct. Ethics training scheduled only when management has available time is inconsistent and may not sufficiently reinforce expected behavior. Providing an ethics manual at hiring communicates expectations but does not demonstrate that ethical practices continue to operate effectively. Disconnecting sales compensation entirely from performance targets is also unnecessary; properly designed incentives can support ethical behavior. Among the available choices, an independent reporting hotline provides the strongest practical evidence of an established ethical culture.
