You are setting up Business Central for a company.

The requirement is:

The use of locations must be mandatory for all users.

Bins must be set up as mandatory for each location.

Here’s how it is configured in Dynamics 365 Business Central:

Inventory Setup (A)

On the Inventory Setup page, there is a field called Location Mandatory.

When this is enabled, every inventory transaction must have a location specified.

This makes locations mandatory globally across the system.

Location Card (B)

On each Location Card, you can enable Bin Mandatory.

This ensures that for all items at that location, transactions must specify a bin.

Other options:

Inventory Posting Setup (C): Defines how items post to the G/L (account mapping) but not about mandating locations or bins.

Sales & Receivables Setup (D): Controls sales process settings, not inventory/bin usage.

Item Card (E): Item-specific data; bins and mandatory settings are not defined here.
