A customer uses several node types in their SAN environment.

ONTAP supports iSCSI LIF migration between nodes specifically on All-Flash SAN Array (ASA) platforms running ONTAP 9.11.1 or later. The migration is restricted to ports on the LIF’s home node or its HA partner, and the applicable CLI operation is network interface migrate. Standard AFF and FAS configurations do not provide the same cross-node iSCSI LIF migration capability described in this scenario. For those systems, an iSCSI LIF normally must be created on the required destination node rather than migrated between nodes.
