A leadership meeting or client consultation may be required under the continuity and incident-response plans, but neither replaces executing the established response. The project manager should coordinate with cybersecurity, continuity, legal, and executive authorities; protect evidence and data; maintain controlled stakeholder communications; and assess the effect on the acceptance milestone and contractual obligations.
