Configuration Groups

What are they?

Configuration Groups allow administrators togroup related settings together.

Each Configuration Group contains multiple options that control how different PSA features behave.

Where to find them?

Navigate toApp Launcher > Configuration Groups.

Select the relevant Configuration Group based on the feature you want to modify (e.g., Utilization, Billing, Timecards).

Example Usage:

Modifying howholidays affect utilization.

Adjustingbilling event generation behavior.

Custom Settings

What are they?

Custom Settings store global or user-specific configurations for PSA.

Unlike Configuration Groups, these settings oftenapply across multiple objects or functionsin PSA.

Where to find them?

Navigate toSetup > Custom Settings.

Look forPSA-specific settingssuch as "PSA Utilization Settings" or "PSA Timecard Settings".

Example Usage:

Settingpersonalized time entry optionsfor different teams.

Controllingdata visibility and field access.
