What tool is generally used to determine why a client cannot join the network?

The Client Connectivity Troubleshooting Tool is specifically designed to analyze why a wireless client cannot successfully join a RUCKUS-managed network. SmartZone allows an administrator to enter the affected client ' s MAC address and run a connectivity trace through selected APs. The resulting connection flow exposes the individual stages of association, authentication, key exchange, DHCP, and other network-access processes, allowing the administrator to identify where the connection fails. Wireshark can provide detailed packet analysis but is not normally the first integrated RUCKUS tool for this task. A spectrum analyzer identifies RF interference, while ping tests IP reachability only after basic network connectivity exists. Therefore, the Client Connectivity Troubleshooting Tool is the appropriate choice for diagnosing a client that cannot join. rcw 3 Ruckus Wireless Documentation
