For an installed-base migration that must support subsequent amendments, renewals, and cancellations, migrating only an Asset record is insufficient. Revenue Management ' s lifecycle model depends on the supporting lineage records that describe what happened to an asset and when its commercial state was valid.

Asset Action records represent lifecycle events. Asset State Period records preserve the time-bounded quantity, amount, and recurring-revenue state of the asset. Asset Action Source provides traceability from the lifecycle event back to the commercial transaction that caused it.
