The periods must be sequential and non-overlapping. The first six-month segment runs from January 1 through June 30, 2025. The twelve-month second segment begins immediately afterward on July 1, 2025 and continues through June 30, 2026. The final six-month segment then runs from July 1 through December 31, 2026.

Option A incorrectly gives all three periods the same January 1, 2025 start date, producing overlapping state periods rather than consecutive lifecycle states.
