AWS CloudFront caching is designed to reduce data transfer costs by caching responses at edge locations closer to users. Although these files are single-use, CloudFront can be configured with appropriate cache-control headers or TTL (time-to-live) values to cache files for even short periods, which reduces data transfer.

Lambda@Edge (Option A) can compress files but requires modification of responses and adds operational complexity. Also, it may not be as cost-effective as caching, especially if files are large or numerous. Amazon S3 Transfer Acceleration (Option B) optimizes data transfer into S3 but doesn’t reduce transfer costs from CloudFront.
