A branch office uses a trusted-network bypass that routes traffic directly to the internet.

Option A removes the path that currently evades the required security decision. When the trusted-network configuration bypasses Zscaler, SaaS traffic goes directly to the internet and cannot be evaluated by the intended Zscaler posture-aware controls. The administrator must refine the bypass so relevant branch traffic is forwarded by Zscaler Client Connector, then apply the appropriate posture-based access rule. Zscaler’s device-posture configuration documentation explains how Client Connector posture profiles are defined. Zscaler also warns administrators to design Z-Tunnel 2.0 bypasses carefully because bypassed destinations do not receive normal cloud enforcement. Application segments concern private-application definitions and do not correct direct SaaS forwarding. Caution pages provide user awareness, not device compliance. Bandwidth limits change capacity allocation and cannot distinguish compliant from unmanaged endpoints.
